To my Friends, Family, Scholastic & Financial Supporters who made this adventure possible. . .
Thank you so much. The summer has come and gone and I still tear when I think back on my time abroad. I write in my posts and articles that it felt like a story, movie, or fairytale over and over, but each sentence falls short in expressing my awe and gratitude. When people ask about my trip. I always say it was the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I mean it.
What I learned from the cultures and foods in these places can't be conveyed from a classroom. And what I learned about myself could have been discovered by no other means.
Thank you for the part you played in this. Whether it was choosing me, believing in me, supporting me, or just reading about the trouble I got myself into each day, it means so much.
Forever indebted to you all,

The "Runaway" Cook???
Welcome to my blog!!! My Name is Elizabeth and you're lookin' at the diary of my adventures. You see, I'm a culinary student, and so far I've traveled 1400 miles from the farm back in Iowa to go to school here In Providence. This summer I'm making an even bigger break for it and jumping the big puddle. Destination: Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Italy, Austria, Germany, and France! Goal: slip away into this new world by eating, tasting, smelling, and cooking my way through through it!
Run away with me and make your mouth water, as we taste and see that the world is more than good . . . It's delicious!
